Meet our staff - Corfu, Greece
CHILDCARE STAFF SUMMER 2015
Name: Megan Wilson
What role are you doing with WWKC?
Childcare Manager at MarBella Corfu, Corfu
What made you apply for WWKC?
I was looking for new opportunities in childcare whilst being abroad and liked the company’s approach and their high standards.
What were you doing before joining WWKC?
I was at home working in a lettings agency looking for a new adventure after two consecutive seasons as a childcare assistant working for a British holiday company.
How long have you worked for WWKC?
What do you enjoy most about the job?
I love the open communication I share with other resorts and the head office which makes me feel valued and appreciated.
What do you do on your day off?
My favourite thing to do on my day off is to rent a car and drive somewhere until I get lost then find the way home in time for a take-away pizza on the beach watching the sunset.
What is you're best summer memory?
My best summer memory this year would have to be having 24 children aged 4 – 11 singing OMI- Cheerleader at the top of their voices wearing their pyjamas doing the conga not realising their parents were all watching through the window at 10pm or swimming in the caves where one of the James Bond films was filmed in the 80’s.
What would you say to someone doing their first season with WWKC?
‘Be prepared to be part of something very special, be open minded and ready to work hard with a company who will support you in being the best you can be. Also be ready for a lot of bad jokes, interesting foods and never being able to find any trainer socks.’
What are you doing once the season is over?
I have been privileged to have been offered a job as an operations assistant in the WWKC head office in London and I can’t wait to start!
