In2action are working with First Leap to recruit people to work in their pre-schools and nurseries. Whilst there is no requirement to be a qualified teacher it is important that the staff have the ability to work with young children.
The work will be varied throughout the week, with a number of different classes, which could be indifferent children’s centres. Classes are also set throughout the time in China so that it is possible to really see a child’s development over time creating a great sense of achievement.
You would be expected to work alongside the Chinese teaching support staff who will assist with translating English into Chinese. No skills are therefore required in Mandarin. You will however be required to have (or gain before flying to China) a qualification to teach English as a Foregin Language such as TEFL, TESOL or CELTA.
