Spa and Beauty Jobs

Massage

For qualified Hair and Beauty staff there are many possibilities for working abroad or using your skills to see more of the UK. Places such as Australia and New Zealand have a shortage of Beauty professionals if you fancy a mid to long term move or you could look at the hair and beauty jobs on cruise ships and in summer and ski resorts for a short term career break (typically a 6 to 8 month contract).

With most of these jobs you will be provided with accommodation. On a ship this will be sharing a compact cabin, in a resort it will probably be a shared room or small apartment in a hotel or chalet. The trick is not to expect too much!

As well as working in a spa or operating a mobile service, staff will be expected to muck in with regular resort staff for things like welcome meetings, resort set up duties and changeover days.

In return for slightly lower wages and compact living accommodation, spa and beauty workers doing seasons can expect a life changing experience and the chance to try things that are not possible in the mundane 9-5 spa jobs that many people have to endure. You will generally get a day off per week and whatever facilities are on hand are normally complimentary for the staff which is an added bonus.
