Ski Nanny Jobs

If you have a childcare qualification then you will have a strong chance of securing a Ski Season Nanny position for the winter season. Ski companies have in resort/hotel crèches and nurseries, and some take on private nannies to offer childcare to customers while the grown ups are out on the slopes.

Usual Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age (sometimes older - make sure you check to avoid disapointment)
• CACHE/NVQ/NNEB or equivalent childcare qualification
• DBS Disclosure Check (You can usually apply for this through the employer)

Successful Crèche and nursery staff will love working with children, be creative and be able to communicate confidently with the parents and the rest of the team as they may be asked to muck in with other jobs on quieter days. Companies are looking for an enthusiastic approach to childcare, a highly professional attitude and the ability to add value to a team and provide professional assistance to managers who may not have childcare experience.

Crèche and nursery staff will be expected to provide an engaging programme of activities for babies (4 months is normally the minimum age but may be less for private nanny services) and toddlers. There will normally be a dedicated room/area or chalet for them to work from but they will also be expected to take the children on outdoor activities, like snowman building, sledging and making snow angels.

The employment package is usually attractive and will typically include accommodation, meals, specialist insurance, uniform, travel to and from resort and ski pass and ski hire.
