its thick and when i went to have layers in it, it just went really weird so i had to straighten it every morning & night, thank god i'm back to all one length now lol. bit worried about the straightners thing also, cos my hair is so thick i have the remmingtons wide straightners which are huge compared to the normal ones but the slim ones just dont cover my hair and it has to be on highest heat so travel-straigtners are off my list altho i have to say has anyone seen them babyliss ones they are sooooo cute and come in lots of colours, damn my hair!!!
-k-
ps: i swear i dont repersent remmington or babyliss lol Edited by kerry_452 - 17 January 2011 at 11:37 |

ooooooh GHD's get you missus lol.
oh tash i cant find anyone on my day, gah i dont wanna be lonely (btw my interview is on the 27th Jan, 1.15pm, anyone else?)
right peeps if we have to go for the Holland training, we'll proberly have to get the coach which is usually warrington bank quay between 7-8am, one of the birmingham stations and then somewhere else lol. where are you going to go from? i know warrington is supposed to be nearer to me but i would have to go out the night before and then wait a few hours at least with birmingham i can travel from stockport on a warm coach.
ha just realised i keep going from the summer forum to this one and its always us chatting lol.

ok heres the situation, i emailed hb to say i didn't want to the apprenticeship, hence below: Hello
We offer the apprentices to any one who wishes to take part. If you decide not to do the apprenticeship this will not affect your interview for the courier position, however you will need to call the office to rearrange your interview date as you are currently booked into the apprenticeship interview slot.
Regards
Overseas Recruitment and Training Dept
gah i hope its not a later date !!!

Aye, I only have my GHD's left now! I've accumulated a load of hair straighteners over the years and sold em all. Can't sell my best hair straighteners tho.....be lost without em.
![]() So, you may not be doin the apprenticeship afterall then? Hopefully you will get a date quite soon for the courier interview.
Even if you and Tash don't get the same day, it's not that bad. Really, everyone's in the same boat. The atmosphere is so relaxed, so don't worry-you'll be fine chick!!
![]() So, you think we may be going to Holland for training? I heard that we may be going there.
Warrington is fairly near to me, so I will go there probably. My nan used to live in Warrington so I know the area, but I'm not sure where the quays are. Will probably get a lift at that time in the morning.
How will you get there? Are you thinking of going from Birmingham instead then?
Oh, I hope they send us some details soon............I go on holiday shortly and want to know before I go!

Rang up to find out that us apprentice's (yes us tasha, i'm still going lol) still get paid the same as normal couriers apparently the goverment thinks differently abroad so unlike the £95 wage i had to live on for my uk apprenticeship we get £146.86 woop woop. also our interview day will go like this; apprenticeship interview first, dvd, tests then normal courier interview, another dvd, more tests, so even if we dont fit the critera for the apprentieship we can still be a normal courier, unfortunatly those people who just want to be a normal couier well the next earliest interview date is the 24th Feb. Tasha have you got a level 2 qualification, if so then you'd take a level 3 like me and the guy said theres not alot of people doing them, which means less assesors which means you might be near me lol bet your scared now.
I have no idea how'd i'd get to warrington bank, central i could do all in one morning, but bank quay as i would miss the connecting train by 10 mins so i think i'd have to get the last train from Hazel Grove to Manc then go to WBQ that way only prob is that i would bout 5 hrs early loitering in a train station. coach to birmingham i would still leave night before but atleast i could sleep and be warm.
btw greenbank station, just checked it out on national rail its like a ghost train station, theres no ticket office or waiting room and you can walk across the tracks...weird.

It was a email i mean,saying.
How am I
assessed? Before you travel overseas you will be required to attend
a 4 day training course in Wigan, as well as receiving your portfolio and
starting to complete the qualification it is also a good opportunity to meet
others in the same situation Whilst on your campsite you will have an Overseas
Trainer/Assessor who will be based in your region; they will visit you
regularly to offer you support and guidance to help you achieve the
qualification. |

i'm really worrying now, my level 2 apprenticeship was hard but i've been looking at the level 3 stuff on the usual qualificators (erm is that a real word lol?) and it looks too tough, plus have you ever seen the portfolios you get give their huge which i bet we have to take with us. sorry but i think i would have been better of with the normal courier, i'll still go to the interview but i'll explain to them there that i really dont want to do it. -k-

Erugh what a pain,my twin sister applied for the same job as me as a courier we both have the same experiences, well she applied two days after i arranged my interview ect,we've been waiting/hoping for a email off HB asking her for a interview, but today we received a letter through the post asking her to phone them to work as a montage assistance instead :( even tho we would of been better off working as couriers and hopfuly on the same site :/
Quite gutted really, well anyone advice on this? if it made thier lives easy,id go out to do montage too with her then see if they'd let us both go on to being a courier for the rest the season.. Geezzz,we didnt wanna be split off like this,i would of honestly thought, due to us living in same location/being sisters and applying around the same time, for the same job we would of both had an interview for the same thing ect, would make our lives alot easier as its our first time to do this together :(
