Though styles are differents from part to part in the world, but the desire for the exclusive fashion is a common thing. Women always have craze about the exclusive fashions and very often spend a lot of money on buying them. But it’s not possible for all of us. I was wondering if any-one had any advice about working as a chalet host such as a typical day and/or the experience and skills that would make an application stand out. My boyfriend and I are keen to work a ski season in France and getting a job as a couple as a chalet host/chef seems to be the only way we're going to be able to have a relationship out there!

Any advice/thoughts much appreciated.

Day will start with preparing and serving breakfast.
See guests off to the slopes (depends on the company how this is done - some have drivers or its a simple walk)
Clean the entire chalet, make beds tidy rooms etc

Afternoon (i finished around 10am so didnt need to do this personally but you may as we had chefs to do this)
Depends on the job, next you may need to prepare childrens lunch (if company has child care)/ prepare afternoon snack for adults and set out

Evening
Prepare/serve dinner, interact with guests, clean down and then set for breakfast.

Its hard work being a chalet host but you will love it. you will get into a routine and the mundane tasks take less and less time, you will find you will have more than enough time for the slopes. just dont let the first couple weeks get to you - those guests are paying a fraction anyway.

Last piece of advice, while you are going to want to apply to as many companies as possible do your research on them. not all of them are good to work for.

I worked for Family Ski Company (check them out) 2010/11 and they were fantastic. the guys next door didnt have such luck.

When it comes to standing out there isnt much you can do but show off your personality. After all 70% of a host is interacting with guests. so dont just put down hospitality experience talk about your personal experience and why that makes you an interesting character.
