HELLO! Yes I have got a job with Al Fresco and it's my first time working away from home; as well as in another country! I'm going out on the 08/07/11 and coming back mid-September. I don't know where I am going yet and am just waiting to here from them. Smile

Hi Nat,

The paperworky-type things that came with all my transport/uniform/bank details forms about a week or so ago said I'm off for training at Bella Italia on the 4th then on to Parc Albatross in Tuscany. I've not herd anything since then though, Its all been a bit last minuet so far lol.

Hiya Man you doing Portsmouth st Malo on the 23rd and then going to Dol? What times your ferry? I've asked for the same crossing and driving down from Newcastle so just wondering what time I might need to set off? Were you always going to Dol for the season?

I know I cant wait will be great.

Yep defo that sounds good, its an overnight ferry, have they booked you a reclining chair or did you upgrade to the private cabin?

So whats the training actually like? 4 days seems a long time, what does everyone do at night?

Get ****ed normally cook/eat together chat...depends how busy/hard the work is during the day I suppose. It's a good laugh though..when you get to your site is it just you and your partner or will you have some more people there?

It's a great job if you like socialising and having a good time burning the candle at both ends...

Sounds good :-) Really looking forward to it. Is it 4 full days of training then?

No there will be 7 of us, 4 reps, supervisor and 2 kids reps. I have met one of the kids reps on here already!

So what time do you usually work from and to then once your on the site?

I'm not sure to be honest as haven't worked for Al Fresco before normally though with other companies it's to find out what standard they expect in their cleaning and to show you all the paperwork and levels of customer service fill in health and safety stuff, collect uniform...they'll pad it out as much as possible prob so we have time to mix etc..I'm just pleased there's no tents anymore bain of my life!

Aw that's good quite a big team then, plus there'll be other companies on your site aswell so there'll be loads of people to mix with and organise parties and day's out...It's a really good life
