Hi guys

Part of my contract this year with Fleur is that I organise weekly social events for the customers. I'm considering a pub-quiz style thing and possibly a wine and cheese evening. Any other suggestions?

Good idea....free food is always a good thing!!!

As for where I'm going...still don't know. I got my contract through last week, and it said that my place of work is "on any site on which the company is represented". They did say that I'd be hearing travel plans from them soon, so I'm hoping that will involve telling me where I'm going. Here's hoping for the Vendée!!

you have to be careful and read the manual as there are so many things with food that you are not allowed to do. Pub quiz is always a good one as is pitting families against each other in football etc, face painting for the kids and a treasure hunt always goes down well with the familiy.
you only need a couple of ideas as you can rotate it as most families only stay a week or 2!

We did 2 pub quizzes last year (at the insistence of the AM). But the site would only let us do it in the bar if we made the questions suitable for all their customers (French, Dutch as well as British) so we had to figure out questions that would translate into French and still be meaningful and fair for them to answer! Which is an awful lot harder than it seems... since you can't ask any standard pub quiz questions about "British" music/football/celebrities/TV/strange English words or whatever!

Anyway, the point is, you can take a pub quiz book or something out with you, but you might find 95% of the questions are useless...

With BBQ's, u gotta make them bring the food and actually cook it! So that u cant get blamed if half your customers get food poisoning!
