Hi everyone,

I don't have an interview for this company but just out of interest what did the nannies/ child care people do for their presentations? I am very interested to know as I would have no idea what to do in that situation! haha

Sounds like everyone's done well though!

not sure how to prepare for exam/exercise and have no idea of questions I may be asked, will these be similar questions to a private nursery interview?
also any decent sites to read up on general background of companies as seem to be finding the same information.
any information would be great, thank you

can't really help on the nanny exam bit.. but for the one about the companies I just read the info bits on their websites and I was fine, just look round the Inghams, Ski Total and Esprit websites and you should be allright, Inghams one has quite a bit of info on. A little tip also is that they are all part of a bigger company Hotelplan, with Inghams/Esprit/SkiTotal part of the Hotelplan UK Group Ltd part. There was a couple of questions to do with that iirc.

hey just to let you all know I got offered a job with them as a hotel assistant. They said they only had positions left in resorts in Italy, which I didn't want to go to. My interview was at the start of July.

if you're naturally loud, outgoing and talkative then you'll be fine whatever you do, as long as you say/do something and link it to how it makes you good for the job.. you can do anything, my interviewer actually said she's more interested in what you had to say.. the bring an object part is just so you can show you're personality and what kind of person you are.. so make sure you utilise it! they want to see you're confident, can talk and socialise with other members and staff etc

as for idea's.. can be anything one girl who was going for shift manager made us all do salsa dancing, and that was at the start! she def must have got a job, a guy going for driver brought in a toy car and cones.. he crashed it a lot, and it broke.. but pretty sure he got the job as well.. ideas for hotel/chalet assistant.. take a shoe box of things, each one describing a personality trait or skill.. do a cleaning demonstration?.. think of a querky different way of how you can make what would be otherwise be you explaining how yourself and job fit.. as long as you don't stand there with nothing reading out your cv you'll be fine :)

I had my interview for them a few weeks ago. You have to speak a bit about yourself and why you want to do a ski season for 1 minute at the start, followed by a bit of talking about the companies and then a quiz. We then had to do a 5 minute presentation on why you would be suitable for the job, which they ask you to bring in something for. Just bring anything in, the important bit is what you say (thats what my interviewer said anyway), but don't just stand there with nothing reciting your cv, one guy did that and he froze, make it different/interesting! try and show your personality as much as possible as this is what they want to know. Then followed by some admin stuff, talking about the job role, pros and cons, and then a test on your knowledge of the job.

In terms of what to wear, dress smart. I went in a full suit and tie and got the job, and most others were dressed similarly smart. It would probably go in your favour.

I was just wondering if there were any chalet hosts in your interview? did they have to talk about their brownies? How did other people's interviews go especially the one in Newcastle?

I had my interview for hotel assistant but unfortunately i was unsuccessful at this time, the interview was very well thought out everybody was so calm...but it was the fact i hadnt enough knowledge regarding hospitality or the workaseason business inc esperit ski .

The item i took in was a diary, another girl came with a bendy ruler others created posters and leaflets

You couldnt smoke in your uniform either in your resort which isnt good haha and dont apply for the elf position....
