Hey! So this is my first season working abroad and im going to be employed by holidaybreak. I'm heading out mid-June to wherever I get placed. I'm just wondering what things I ought to bring with me, do you get wifi access out there, whats the accommodation like etc. So if anyone can just give me tips on what its like that would be great!
Im so excited for it btw, oh and also it'd be cool to meet others working for holidaybreak and who are heading out the same time as me. I was provisonally placed in loire valley and paris but that could be changed. Im flying from Scotland but I wanna meet people flying out from all over the uk! ![]() Thanks!

Hey,
My friend worked for Holidaybreak last year and he said you live in big tents that have your own sections (also I think you can pay a certain amount to get wifi the whole time you're there)

Hiya, internet access varies on each site. In my first year there was no internet access in the area the Holidaybreak living accommodation was located - I was the area admin so had the passcode for the work wifi but it didn't reach as far as the courier's tents, so the couriers had to purchase their own dongles or wifi cards from the newsagents.
My second year, 2012, you had to buy internet cards from the campsite reception for 15 euros for three hours and no discount for campsite employees... so expensive... but I also spent a night on another campsite in that same region where the internet was something like 40 euros per month unlimited so a much better deal. So yeah it varies! Possibly may be better provision this year from Holidaybreak what with the apprenticeship qualification and the tablet programme they're rolling out... but knowing Holidaybreak they will probs expect us to pay fr the internet for our own qualification or something... Good luck hope you have an absolutely amazing first season!!! |
