I've never done anything like this before, really want to but definitely have reservations! I was wondering who the best company is to go with or where to go? I'm thinking America as there seems to be a lot of options but I'm not too fussy.

The other thing is that I will be 23 by the summer in 2014 and was worried I'd feel a bit old when I'm out there as I assume most people go before Uni or whether I'm just over-thinking?

I am also a fully trained Lifeguard and have been for 6 years so would love to take that abroad if it was possible!

Would love to hear any advice!

Hi
I am in the same situation, I have  wanted to work at summer camp for a long  time. I  Will be 25 next year and feel the same as you.  I am apprehensive about a few things e.g different country, making new friends and whether  I could cope.

I  am a sports coach teaching different fitness classes and hope to get a similar job role there as

well as  counsellor.

I've heard a lot of good  feedback from Bunac and  Americamp

Again any advice I would be grateful

Yeah I feel the same, I'm currently studying sports business management at uni and its not only the fact it would help me with future jobs but also I know I would love it being out, doing something a bit different but also that I love, just certainly do have a few worries about doing it.
Especially where to do it or how to go about it/which companies to apply for, I've done a bit of research and I'm thinking either 'Camp Leaders' or 'Camp America' so far but still unsure

seriously guys, at 23/25 you will definitely NOT be the eldest there. You might want to consider being a team leader, and if you don't get that, go out as a team member anyway and maybe with a view for getting a prmotion while your there. Definitely do it. The only thing I regret is not doing America while I was still young enough to get the work Visa. Do it!

Ah thanks for that! I'm pretty exited now! Ive been in touch with a company called 'camp leaders' who seem really helpful and find you camps to go to and really help sort everything out from flights to insurance so think I might apply threw them :)
