Hi everyone, I received an offer from eurocamp today for an apprentice  holiday courier and now very excited and looking into everything I can and find out as much as possible but was hoping that there might be a few people on here that have been out and done it before that might have some hints and tips for me and other newbies reading this? one thing i have been looking at that hopefully someone will have an answer for is banks? and cash withdrawals is there a bank you would recommend I use or does anyone know if using a prepaid card a good option?

Thanks for your help in advance!

I use Caxton FX European traveller card. You just load the card online from your current account. there are no hidden costs and it works in any ATM machines that acept VISA. Hope that helps. 5th season Eurocamp team leader.

We also use Caxton cards, yo get a better exchange rate then the money shops, ATM withdrawals are free, be carefull tho, some shops and banks will take an amount extra as a pre authorise, this gets retuned after a week or so, so we found the best thing to do is withdraw from atm first then use cash. Been using it for 5 years now.

We also use a Joe Mobile sim, e16 a month unlimited free phone calls to UK landlines and France & USA mobiles. 3 Gig data,
You need an unlocked phone tho. I have a couple of spare sims, its easy to setup and I pay for it with the Caxton card above.

Its a pay as you go like GiffGaff in the UK, it comes out for my Caxton card each month and can be cancelled at any time, there is a joe mobile app and you just click the turn off button. If you put http://www.joemobile.fr/home into google chrome it will translate the webpage and its then readable, I will re activate mine when we return in April. I have a spare sim or two laying around, let me know if you want it and the phone model, which must be unlocked.

Meds, if you tell your doctor you are going away for a few months they will give you the maximum aloud prescription of three months, then i would just get someone to collect and send off to you in France. To see a Gp in France is 25 euros and a prescription is not cheap.

Hope this all helps

Steve
