Hello, has anyone any recommendations for obtaining CAR INSURANCE in order to take the car overseas for the summer. I am getting very confusing information from other forums. Would really appreciate it if someone with first hand experience could offer any advice. Thanks

Its all very simple, if you are insured Fully comp, you will get with 30,60 or perhaps 90 day full comp insurance automatically from you insurance company. ALL uk insured cars  will auto get 180 days Third party. NO NEED FOR A GREEN CARD ETC  ANYMORE.
The first year we went out, we looked and looked at this, we spoke to insurance companies and NONE told us we had insurance automatically.

If you are over 50,Saga and Asda do unlimited overseas cover, LV do 180 days. Your insurance certificate is now your Green Card, so no need to apply for the card anymore.

I would take a cover for your car if you value it, ours ended up covered in sap last year because Reps parking spaces are not always the best of spots.
