Hi!
I'm also doing my first winter season but I've been skiing since I was 8. I have a friend who has done like 3 winter seasons so she said you live in jeans/leggings when not working, take cosy jumpers and lots of socks, apparently they always go missing! Buying snow boots when you get there could be quite expensive! Other shoes, depends on your resort - if it's traffic free then the roads and pavements will be very snowy so you're more likely to need snowboots than in other resorts. I've worn uggs before and as long as they're waterproofed they've been fine. Converse would probably get quite wet and your feet would get cold, but wellies with thick socks would be fine too! I think whatever you're comfortable in and will keep your feet dry and warm! Do you know which resort you're going to? Which company are you working with? I'm off to Gressoney, in Italy. Never skied in Italy so that's exciting and a bit scary! Suzie |
