Hiya
i worked for carnival a few years ago and well.....its interesting!
depending on the job you do it can heaven or hell.

Any job with food and beverage ie. bar, Kitchen, waiting on etc and it is hell. i averaged 105 hrs a week, shared a wardrobe(sorry cabin)! with a romanian kp who worked nights so we kept waking each other. In port you have to work and when you get time off you are too knackered to leave your bed.

However, shops, casino, entertainers etc got nice cabins, did 40hrs and had most of their time in port off.

Pick the right job, send out as many letters as you can and go for it!

Good Luck !

Hi,
I worked for princess cruises and it was amazing unfortunately as maverick said you have to pick the right job cruise staff is the best lots of time off and the work is lots of fun if your an outgoing type i was working as a beauty therapist in the spa and it was long hours!! But the life onboard is fantastic and you make lots of friends have loads of parties and see the world! im working for mark warner now.
To find cruise ship jobs your best bet is to go to the cruise line websites find their addressses and send them your cv DO NOT PAY SOMEONE TO GET YOU A JOB! most of the time its a con!
Good Luck!!

I used to work for Harding Brothers in 2004. They are an agency who organise and own the shops and spas onboard most of the P&O ships. In my opinion if you want to work onboard a cruise ship and actually see some of the locations you go to, then work in the shop. With this company you only get 150 a week but your accomodation and food etc is included. If your a shoppie your get 4 out of 5 port days off and you get more time off than any of the other ship jobs etc. www.hardingbros.com. I worked on the Aurora and it was brilliant!! I met one of my best friends ever and also hundreds of fabulous people.

p.s. Be careful of the men, they love "fresh meat" and you'll get a rep as a sl*g in no time. Plus some b**ch who fancies one of them will always be on your back so just be careful in that respect. Other than that Have a great time!!!!
