Anybody have any ideas for customer events that worked particularly well?

Any crazy ideas that you think would be worth a try?

Anybody actually do any customer events more than like, once or twice a season?

we weren't allowed to have cusotmer parties or anything like that Cry  not sure where the rule came from, but think it might have been madame as no there companies did it either! although we did have some customers cook us a three course meal out of their tent, still keep in touch with them now!

Customer v courier football went down well....we hads a farm outside the site so a french speaker would do wine/cheese tasting one evening a week....
Can't beat a good old quiz...
The couriers on Chambord did a courier generation game once that worked well but was a lot to organise....parent and kid racing another pair to put up a cot/high chair/ fold blankets that kind of thing...

I used to throm a customer party every week through high season last year. I keep them very simple though, 4+ did face painting for the little kids and the rest of funstation would organise an activity (rounders/football/relay races) whilst couriers handed out booze and chatted to the customers.

They seemed to work pretty well and were a good way of getting customer feedback. I was lucky that i had a full funstation though cos they helped loads by doing the activity.

first season we wernt allowed in italy as the campsite had so much other stuff on- wouldnt even let us run the hoopie! however i have a friend who made enough cash off the customer parties to not have to touch her wages last season- something rediculous like 400 euros off a wine and cheese night!
i feel i may give that a go this year if i get the chance
however lot of the time its usually way too much hassle!

sherman im not too sure what you question was there? did my friend work for cl- no she was working for carisma at the time. Was it the same for all companies on my site in italy- yes a lot of the sites in italy dont like you running your own parties as they interefer with the amimation they claim.
was that what you were asking? lol

couriers working for carisma make extra money by holding a cheese and wine party every week, i think they charge 8euros for adults and 5 for kids for all you can eat and drink. The down side is that they get paid less than most other companies as this is expected.

Ive seen them make quite a bit out of these (not to mention the leftover food and booze) is hard work though!

Customer parties are great!  As a member of the funstation team you get to organise activities and entertain the kids while the couriers drink beer and wine with the customers!!  Nah to be fair there was always plenty leftover booze to go around after...
