Aw nice! Have you ever been to an assessment day before? I haven't, I'm so nervous. I only found out yesterday so I'm glad I've got a few weeks to prepare myself haha!!

Breakdown on the TUI assessment which I have just completed, hope it helps :)
First there is an introduction into the company and a little bit about the role of the TUI Scene rep. then you introduce yourself to everyone. then you are given 12 scenarios which could happen overseas which you must put in order of what you would do first. then they split you into groups and you have to discuss your answers with the group. Then there is a role play activity where they pretend to be a customer complaining and you have to try and resolve it as best as possible. Then there is a lunch break where people are sent home. Next they go further into the role of the rep and things youll be doing and also benefits of working for TUI such as the pay, commission and uniform etc.Then there's another role play activity where you hav 10 minutes to prepare a sales pitch of an excursion. once everyones done this, there is another break where more people are sent home. finally it's the 1-2-1 interviews where they are mainly questions like "name a time you have worked well in a team" Good luck! :)

I have my TUI assessment on 1st December, i worked for Thomas cook in 2017. The Thomas Cook assessment day sounds very similar but they didn't send anybody home. Started where the group of around 50 were split into 3 or 3 groups..as a team you had to prioritise a list of activities they are just looking to see if you can interact as part of a group without taking complete control of the activity. Then you have a few minutes to prepare a presentation for the group to try to sell a place you have been (I thought i messed up on this as i got so nervous I started shaking), then role play of complaints and 1 to 1 interviews. Good luck everyone...their not looking for perfection just people who are willing to work hard and show they want the job xx

Hi Beth,
When I went it was a combined group, the only people who were taken to a seperate room for their assessment were people who applied as kids rep and leisure and entertainment staff. Just be yourself and enjoy the day it's a really good experience! Good luck x |
