I am thinking of applying to work in Lapland this winter. Does anyone have any advice for what it's like working a season there? Or what you can do in your spare time?
Thanks.

From my expirience its really nice. I have worked in Finland lapland. It is not hard to work as they have enough staff. You would be working usually 37.5 h per week or max up to 50 depending on department. Sundays are double payed in Finland also 1e extra per hour after 18h . 2 days off per week. They respect workers and time.
Not much you can do, but if you do like nature and calm life it will be nice. No places you can spend money. You can go husky, reindeer ride, snowmobile, ski ,snowboard, ice fishing, ice cart, hike, fat bike riding and ofcourse watching auroras :D . Durring november, december, january, february its dark for around 18-20 hours per day. After in april you have longer days then nights.
