Hi all.
My son, who will be 18 next winter is looking to work for a ski season in Europe for 23/24 season. We' ve just started looking at possible jobs/ hiring companies. He has an Irish passport , so can work in EU countries. He will have experience in bar and restaurant work and will have completed his level 1 and level 2 ski instructor in Canada. His ideal job would be as a ski host or ski instructor, but we've no idea if those fields are the most competitive and therefore unlikely to attain as a newbie to the scene. Basically he wants to work the season on the slopes so he can ski as much as possible on his days/time off and will be willing to work wherever he can. Can anyone point me in the direction of good companies that place staff, or chalets that hire privately or anything else you think may help. Do these companies generally place 18yo in jobs that provide accommodation and food or is it more common for the staff to have to find their own place? As you can most likely tell, we are completely new to this, so I would really appreciate all and any advice and pointers. Thank you for taking time to read this. Susan
