Has anyone worked for fleur?
they have 1 courier per site, what are people's opinion on this, do you think it could get lonely?
what's the advantage of working with canvas, and in a team? etc

my friend worked for fleur briefly last season. tho i dont think he stayed very long. however, this isnt a reflection on the company - just the fact that he never stuck it out too long with any of the companies. just dont think he was really suited to the courier life. tho when he was with fleur he seemed to enjoy it ok.

I can personally see it getting very lonely to be honest. I suppose at the end of the day it depends on what kind of person you are! With Canvas you work in larger or smaller teams, depending on where you are working! The advantage of that is obviously, there are more people around, you make more friends, and NEVER feel lonely. I suppose with working by yourself, theres never going to be confrontation or someone disagreeing with someone elses ways. You can do things the way you want to do them.

there wil usually b other people from other companies there anyway so itl b fine. youll have them for socilaising but also have the freedom of working alone whichd b quite cool.personally, i like to be in a team tho.

If you work for them you have to be pretty prepared to work on your own, you have to be going abroad for the summer for different reasons than say if you wanted to be on a huge large n' lively site. On a site i worked on there was a fleur girl on a site down the road - about 3km down the road and she was the only courier on it, there were a couple of french companys but it was really a site for static caravans that had been bought up. There was no one there her own age, and she had to live/do reception and run kids club all from one tent.

All im saying is be prepared - if you go with fleur make sure you know that there is an equal chance you will be on your own with no one else.

Ive never had anymore contact with the company than that, so i cant say what they are actually like to work for.

My advice would be if you wanted to go with Fleur - when you get placed, look on the internet on the Euro/Key/Canvas websites to check if one or more of those companys is on the site to you have been placed. If not - ring up and say that the site they have given you isnt really your cup of tea.

yeah as far as the way your treated fleur will prob treat you very well, it will be very easy and relaxing, so if thats what your looking for great, but if you wanna party drink sh*g etc etc its not the best company, chances are there be on very small sites, with no other companies or with small numbers of couriers if there are other companies, does all depend what your looking for, its worth taking the job and giving it aa go, if you dont like it try finding another job/company when your out there its easy enough

yeh when i was back on holiday, after my contract was shortened

He came round my mobile first night when we had a bit of a party and when some customer staying in front of us he turned there electricity off, which i didnt know till the morning when stu came down complaing id turned it off and he had to move these customers.

When his mate came out to work they purposely put there scumcastle shirts on to wind me and my dad up, so my dad went for him in the bar 1 nite

He knew i was going berny and he sh*t himself when he saw me in the supermarket for the first time, but we agreed to forget are differences, but it didnt last long i caught him trying to burn my sunderland flag, so we trashed his haven live mobile and it all began again

I was a sole courier last season and I actually really liked it. I was on a site with other couriers who I got on with well but I got to manage my own workload so when they were all slaving away I was lying by the pool! he he! It gives you a lot more independance I would say
