Hiya

I've worked has a holiday courier for any many years and it truely is a fantastic job, but sadly there are some horrid companies out there that are going to rip you off, please please please research your chosen company thoroughly, the best bet is to avoid small run business and ones that only interview over the phone!!!

Please try not to list the bad companys here has it will only get deleted and i really want any 1st time reps to read the above info.

Enjoy your summer everyone it sure beats working behind a desk x

Hiya

True not all companys who interview over the phone are bad,but its the small companys i want people to be aware of, its my third year as a courier and over those few years the same companys keep cropping up that treat there staff badly. Im off to France this year with Eurocamp not doing montage so should be kicking off my season in March.

WHAT???............Have you ever been there? I take it your gonna be with Keycamp cause im Eurocamp.
This is going to be my 3rd yr there!! The loction is perfect you live right across the road from the beach, you live bassical in the town centre where all the bars and restruants are. I know its higher up North and maybe you wanted the Vondies or South France for the never ending sunshine???......But i wouldn't keep going back if i didn't return with a tan each year. Also this is a hard job (i know it sounds crazy), you are running around all day seeing in customers, fixing any problems and cleaning, the heat really gets to you after a while even more so if you've been parting the night before. Brittany is usually up in the 25-27 degrees and that's hot enough for this job.
If you've got any questions you want to ask me please do, but honestly the only people i know who have left Britttany are the ones that got fired.....hahaha.

I worked at camp America two years ago as a counsellor, and really enjoyed the whole experience. I'd like to share a little insight into my experience. As a counsellor I was in charge of the campers' general well-being and my role was to ensure that the kids get to enjoy all their activity sessions safely. The role was great fun on the whole, but was stressful at times and you need a lot of energy. If your not into dealing with kids then I'd forget about it. I'm currently thinking about taking on another summer camp role, but I want to go somewhere a little different. I was looking on this site and found it really helpful and have seen a view good options. I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience working at camps in less developed countries? Any advice would be much appreciated.
