i'm starting university in sept 2011 and really want to work abroad, especially usa. i'm currently 29, turning 30 next month. are there any places that accept over 30? i know the j1 usa visa says 18-30. any exceptions to this rule?

im guessing im too late applying for summer 2011 jobs? do u count as a student just by being accepted into a uni or are all 'student' jobs for between 1st & 2nd or 2nd & 3rd year of degree?

will consider housekeeping, retail, customer service, tefl in most countries, but i'd love to work in usa (amusement park, hotel, summer camp)

i have 10 year work experience in customer service/retail.

yes i have lots of questions all in one post Embarrassed

I think you actually need to be enrolled in a course or program to be considered a student but depending on where you're looking at getting a visa - it might vary.

Also, there's probably a ton of places that would like to have someone early thirties working for them - especially if you have that much customer service. Have you thought about going cruise line?
