If you have been there, can you please tell us, how much were the living costs (rent etc). And how much you can earn there? Is it easy to find some place to work? Where did you work?
other than that, I am opened for anything :) I have a plan to go to work somewhere (Ibiza sounds great), but I don't have any mates to come with, so I am looking around in the forums. I am available from the 2nd week of June (maybe even from the 1st) until the beginning of September. I am 23 and female! |

Hi everyone I did the season in Ibiza for the first time this year and it was the best thing i have ever done. I first booked to go on my own cos i finished uni and didnt wanna spend the summer (which ended up a winter....) in the UK. anyway i booked a one way flight and had £2000 saved, i thought see what happens. then about 2 weeks before i was goin 2 of my friends added on and we went out together. got a job easliy selling tickets for clubnights. i got there on the 7th june and there was plently of jobs going as ticket sellers and even PR'n to be honest there was jobs goin all through the time i was there so i wouldnt worry too much. as long as your confident and outgoing you will be sorted. I spent £1000 in the first week wich wasnt a very good idea but most of that was on rent for the apartment, i had to pay 300 euros as a months deposit and 300 for the first months rent so you need id say at least £1000 spending money i had completely run out by the middle of july so had to live on what i made. you get out what you put in really if your willing to work hard then theres the opportunity to see ibiza properly.....for me there was just too much temptation to go out so i wasnt earning that much, but i had a better time not working v.often!!!! it all depends on how good an experince you wanna have really, i know some ppl who took £4,000 and didnt work but then they wernt really involved with the 'worker' experince which is what its all about really. You can get workers passes to some of the clubs it depends how nice your boss is really and how hard you work, if ur doing well and sellin lots of tickets or gettin lots of ppl in the bars then they will be more willin to get them for you. Im not sure if they do passes for pacha and privilege although we applied for our teisto passes which was on a monday and they never came. Space passes apparently you have to be a resident of playa den bossa. you can get eden and es paradis passes quite easily but u have to renew eden 1 every 15 days which is annoying, i just blagged mine most of the time til they took it off me the week b4 i was leaving! umm amnesia has a pass too which is a good one to have as they have awesome night on coocon, cream, armarda etc.
Basically if your thinking about doin a season in ibiza dont....just do it. it will be the best experince you'll ever have and meet the most amazing people in the most amazing place with the most amazing clubs in the world and constant sunshine all summer
I could sit here for hours and hours and talk about how good it is but i dont wanna bore u all!!

Where did you got o find a job and where did you stay.. did they help you find accomodation.. Cocoon is the best night as well as subliminal in Pacha.. love it!! Im also a noob, but am planning on going to see what this ibiza place is all about and celebrate finishing Uni! Those who have been to ibiza before to work, do you think its best fun to get a job organising all the **** ups and stuff, doing bar work or promotions? I like the idea of promotions but I dont really want to end up just giving out leaflets while everyones enjoying the music!
What clubs do the likes of van buuren, above and beyond, lindstrom, teisto etc play at? What DC10 like because i was reading dj magasine and loads of djs seem to have had ephiphonies there!
Is it worth trying to sort out a job now or just go out april/may and get a job then? Or could I just go out in June and get a job?

Personally i think your best going and applying for the job whilst your there as it is very rare that they recruit before they see you.. shallow as it sounds ibiza is very much.. If you look hot you can have the job, obviously they still take you into account on a whole but if your fit you stand a very high chance of getting the job in which you want. Some will sort out accomodatiion, but again i would wait til you get there, maybe book into a aprtment for a week or two whilst you sort it all out. As where you end up working will affect on the best place for yout o stay. DC10 jobs im unsure about but its one of the best clubs put it that way. Tiesto usually plays at priviledge. If you like van burren i think you will love dc10 and cocoon at ammnesia, in my opinion the two best nights of the week in the summer season. Rate of pay is usually...sh*t! haha depending on wat your doin, if its like PR work or ticket selling or sumthin along those lines. You get paid for what you sell. And usually get hired on looks, my brother has just come back. he stayed in a quality apartment and i think it cost him about 300 a month which he had already saved up. im sure you can get cheaper but it wont be as good quality.

I went the end of september this year for all the close-down parties and loved it done malia before doesnt compare even though it is cheaper!!
Anyway im a crazy girl who lives and works for night-life i believe your here for a good time not along time so make the most of it and i try not to have no regrets!!

Hello everyone! My names Vicky, im 20, and ive been working in Magaluf for the last two summer seasons!! although Majorca brought me the best friends i have, the most amazing memories and a lot of laughs!!! im ready for a new challenge  !ive never visited ibiza unfortunatly, BUT I WOULD LOVE TO WORK THERE! The whole vibe i get from ibiza just draws me in, the music, the sun, the people!!! Although i have worked abroad and im very familiar to the life you have working in a tourist resort (and its not as easy as people think), ive never been to the white isle before!!! I have no idea what to expect as far as being a worker goes. I'll probably be heading out middle of March to the end of March, from past experience i find this the best time to settle into a new resort!!! Hey everyone, like most people i'm going out on my own and i'm an Ibiza virgin too so looking forward to a summer i'll never forget and probably loads more to come too. Planning on going out the start of may and want to hear from peeps going the same time who want to share and have a good time with, i'd like to be a dancer but will also take on bar work as thats what I do now, had a dancing job in Kavos a while back and that was fab.

| Hey, my friend and I went to Ibiza this year, stayed at Ibiza Rocks and it was the best two weeks of our lives! Booked to fly out on the 6th of june in 09 and plannin to stay for the season. We've been told its best to try and book your apartment before you go for the longstay as its cheaper, but have no idea how to go about this! Any ideas? We're just booked into staying in Ibiza rocks for the first two weeks until we find somewhere....opening parties also ha :D x |

Bring on Ibiza '09!! Im Stuart, 23 and live in the midlands. Been to the magical island 3 times in the last 2 years and its just got better everytime! Know my way around the place fairly well now and especially San Antonio. Will be heading out at the start of June and hopefully will get a bit of promo work to help fund the raving.. but saving up as much as possible just in case! Can't wait 4 summer '09! me and 3 mates r flying out one way on 9th june and staying at Ibiza Rocks Hotel for 1 week and then another hotel for 2 weeks. Managed to get all that for just £290...gonna try find jobs whilst we're out there and stay for the season..if we don't get anything then we'll jus have a 3 week holiday!

We booked the flights on the easyjet website and those were about £35 each from London Stanstead. Ibiza Rocks Hotel at their website and that was about £170 each for a week. And then the other hotel we booked at http://www.roomsnet.com - www.roomsnet.com and we found a hotel for around £80 each for 2 weeks! We booked it all about 3 weeks ago so the prices probably have changed but they shouldnt have changed that much...

Ibiza Rocks looks a great place to stay, but think im gonna have to choose somewhere cheaper for the first few weeks, want to save as much money as possible on accomodation! The Anibal Hostel looks like a bargain, only about £90 each for a room for 2 people for 2 weeks! I'll see you guys at The Ship, love that place! ------------- we all <3 the white island |

I'm going on the white island for my first season as worker in 09, can't wait... I'm looking for people in order to rent an apartment or better a villa (with pool) for the whole season. With ~10 people in a villa it's not very expensive.
