Hi, I really want to go to Kavos this summer to work for approx 2months. I am in my first year at university & want to sepnd the summer over seas to get a little life experience. Any ideas how to go about this????  ------------- I would like to work abroad over the summer holidays. I am currently studying at Leeds University, in my first year. I dont want to be a bore at home over the summer, i am lively, hard working and fun |

hi mia,
Im also looking to go out to kavos this year. Im most likely to be going at the beginning of May for 5 months. From what ive heard at the moment the best way is to just get on a plane and find a job when your out there. My intentions are to book a hotel for the first week while i find some work and then sort out accomodation for the rest of the summer when im out there. I went there for a week last summer towards the end of the season and quite a few bars were advertising for bar work so i think it will be fairly easy to find work. HIYA... well, i have a mate who is a DJ in kavos everyear, he has good good contacts with alot of people, considering he is greek, i can find some info personaly for both of you, i am flying out there in 5 days and if you wana keep touch, just drop me a line at [email protected]...
I can get work for people in Ibiza, Rhodes, Tenerife, and cancun, i have alot of people who are looking for bar work/waiteress or waiters/PR/or cleaners... They pay good money and acco with job as well. Also there is winter work after summer06, if you are intrested just email me. This is not a joke or rip off, this is a once in a life time chance to do what you want too do in life... I might be 20, but i have alot of money i am willing to invest on jobs like this, you will get paid 1350 euros a month plus bonus every week for the most succesful employer... Its really easy to get a job in kavos ive been working there for last 2 seasons and im going back out on 5th may really excited bout it  its really easy to get work just walk into any bar or restaurant and ask them if there is any work and most of the time they say yes, acomadation is really easy to find and most of the workers live at the top end of kavos up near the barn as its cheaper and its not as noisy if you want to catch up on sleep. You can also go on greeceuncovered.co.uk and there is loads of topics bout work and that if ya want to have a look and thats were all us workers go to have a chat if ya need anymore info just let me know ------------- Kavos 2006 bring on the madness |

Im also really wanting to go out to Kavos to work this hols after going there last year. Im in my second year at leeds uni. Think my plan is to do what others have said and just turn up and see whet happens. Kavos is a wicked place and I cant wait to get back there. |

Me and 5 of my mates from newcastle are arriving in Kavos on the 11th of june to stay for 2 weeks hopefully longer as while we're there we all want to find a job for the summer all of us have past experience with promoting and are dead enthusiastic bubbly girls!! If anyone happens to know any way we can sort out a job so we are guranteed one before we get there or have any good tops on getting one as were all students at the moment therefore need the cash when we get out ther that'd be brill !!

allo XSFX i was out in kavos last yr and nearly every bar is ofering work so it is very easy. I am also going to kavos again this yr and am looking 2 stay out there and work till end of season so let me kno wen ya out there and maybe sort sumthin out cos if ya wana wrk out there ya gota find sumwhere 2 stay as well but pretty cheap aswell. U will also av the best tym out there.

i worked in kavos last year and it was amazing, best thing iv ever done!!
the weirdest part was the fact i was there myself and yet i knew everyone... i worked in a bar called BE FREE which i loved (not the greatest bar but the wages were good and my boss Spearos was lovely!) i stayed in marias apartments which werent really nice (the apartment flooded the first day) then i moved to shared accomodation with 2 guys i didnt know.... it was totally safe barr the fact i walked in on one of them naked and shaving (eugh) but they were lovely that apartment was based above the chinese right across from the Barn and i loved it... really cheap (30 odd euros a week?) and it was lovely and clean all the time... i highly recommend this place.. if anyones got any questions about anythin, drop us a private message and il be happy to help u if i can claire x ------------- Just a Girl |

| I believe you pay a weekly fee to rent a place out there prob around 100euros a week which is actually quite cheap. There is a hairdressers because I remember seeing one. Not sure where though, I was too drunk! |

Yeah, you pay weekly but not a 100 euros. I lived at uncle harry's restaurant when i worked out there in 2006 for 4 months and i shared a room with a mate, we payed 6 euros each a night. so you should only be looking at 40-50 euros a week for a room. might have gone up a bit now, but not that much. loads of rooms for workers out there, just ask the restaurant owners.

I was DJ'in this summer in Kavos, brilliant experience, and now I have got plenty of contacts out there, I can quite easily and quite happily go back next year and sort myself out over there.
How did everyone else find it?

I was doing pool parties at the freestyle village hotel through the day, I also did the foam parties in Atlantis.
I am going to go back out at the beginning of May cos I went out at end of May this year and most of the jobs had gone...

Hey all, I'm new here to this forum, so bear with me kk!!! I'm really hoping to come and work in Kavos next year as I went there this year for a holiday and loved it!!! Also, I met a PR called Phil who worked at The Forum, and he came back to the UK with me instead of working out the season! Anyroads... my name is James i am 24 and from Liverpool this year i went to Kavos for my second year and next year i will be returning to Kavos to spend the summer season out there. what i do i go out to Kavos at the beginning of May by booking a 2 week holiday i use the first week to having a holiday and the second week to finding a job. finding work is so easy i have been to Kavos for 3 years now and have a good load of contacts so i can find a job pritty easy and that includes doing coach transfers from the airport to the resort. everyone who works the summer season normally gets paid daily around about 25 euros for pr ing and 10 euros for handing flyers out. accomodation is paid weekly and is around about 8 euros a night if anyone is thinking of going to kavos i can arrange accommodation and it would be 6 euros a night. i hope this has all been of help to you all speak soon and reply back add me on to msn if u want to know more at [email protected] ------------- come message me and have a chat and find out about Kavos 2007... on msn at [email protected] |

hya hun i am going out to Kavos the first week of may to have a holiday and then start work after the holiday, getting a job during may is the best time to get 1 as all the students have not finished uni or school yet so its as easy as abc, plenty of jobs and loads of accommodation available.

Hi, I worked there last summer and heres some tips.
1 - Dont get flight and hotel, its expensive, if you fly out single and thens peak to a hotel as its out of season, theyw ill give you a room at 9 or 10 euros a night. 2 - Accomodation is between 50 euros a week and 75. 75 is a very nice room, balcony, fridge, cooker, and something resembling a shower. It isnt the cleanest place but its ok to sleep and throw up in. 3 - Get out there around May 12th, as the first week everywhere is shut, and the mian palces to work open. Jobs are pretty hard ot find in the big places, but lots are available in smaller places. (As long as noone steals the job im getting i wont cry) :) 4 - Make friends with other workers. You get discounts everywhere when you work there (i think i got 10 beers for 4 euros once) and then you have some mates for when you finish work. HAve fun, and if nyone has any preoblems then lemme know (im not sleazy like some people as i have a girlfriend (maggs) and i DONT need to share accomodation )

Thanks so much for all your helpeful information. Me and my friend are going to work in Kavos in the Summer 2008, we have never done anything like this before so am a little nervous on where to go for work and also accomodation. We were thinking of flying out and getting accomodation once we arrive, would you advise that? Just found a one-way flight on 30 April for £135.
I would prefer to do bar work that pr work, how easy is it to find bar work?

im plannin goin kavos aswell......but jst bin readin reviews on it n ppl sayin first thing hits ya is rank smell of seaweed n da beach is covrered in seaweed n crap!! sounds luvly lol ne1 whos actually bin there tell me wot they thinka it?? dont wanna end up in a kip lol! wot d beaches like?

| The beach is fine hun! It doesnt smell unless it chucks it down with rain and then the strip seems to be covered in sh&t, but when you are drunk dont think you will be too bothered lol. Whats your email address? Im steff. |

Looking forward to Sat, I spoke to Tracey yesterday and said we'll meet you somewhere in Romford then up to Edwards with you to meet the others. No driving Saturday is all about drinking and I promise not to be getting myself in a state like I did Friday, so embarressing.

Beaches arent the best lashed princess but hey u wont b that bothered some days there is a stink but when your out there for so long u get used to it its not as bad as everyone makes out!!!! U can always hire a quad or that and check out some of the other beaches for the day lol But honest its not that bad a beach could be worse |
