Our Assistant Resort Manager plays a key role in keeping the wheels turning smoothly both behind the scenes and in front of house, particularly within our self-catered operation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a central part of the resort team, you’ll assist the Resort Manager and take full ownership of our self-catered properties. You’ll keep things running like clockwork across logistics, suppliers, staff coordination and guest experience, all while getting plenty of mountain time.

Your responsibilities will include (but definitely not be limited to):

• Running the day-to-day of our self-catered chalet operation — including guest check-ins, concierge services, housekeeping checks and more
• Acting as the main point of contact for self-catered guests (including being on call for emergencies)
• Organising everything ahead of guest arrivals — from shopping and ski passes to baby kits, hampers and raclettes
• Managing linen orders, missing stock and coordinating with owners
• Keeping a close eye on chalet standards and ensuring a smooth, slick experience from start to finish
• Working with our wonderful suppliers (cleaners, ski hire, drivers, etc.) to make sure everything’s on time and to standard
• Managing changeover day with cleaners and handling welcome hampers, top-up lists, and stock deliveries
• Overseeing maintenance — making sure any issues are flagged and fixed fast
• Visiting properties at least 3 times a week to check in and troubleshoot
• Handling all things admin: invoices, orders, tourist tax, skipasses and account reconciliation with the UK office
• Ensuring each property has what it needs — drinks, napkins, sugar, loo roll and a good vibe!
• Supporting our chefs and hosts with weekly run-throughs and making sure freelancers are ready to go
• Acting as duty manager when the Resort Manager is off
• Helping with inventories, F&P kit set-up (iPads, folders, guest info), and general chalet upkeep
• Pitching in wherever needed — be it helping a guest with dinner reservations or hopping in a van with the driver to deliver wine
• Playing a key role in team energy and morale — both on the job and on the slopes!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• At least two full ski seasons under your belt, ideally with some team or operational responsibility
• A team player with serious organisational skills and a cool head under pressure
• Someone over 23 (insurance requirement) with a full driving licence — bonus points for D1 or RosPA
• Great with people — you’ll be supporting guests, managing cleaners and suppliers, and energising the team
• Conversational French to deal confidently with local suppliers and services
• A strong sense of initiative and a ‘muck in’ attitude
• A genuine love for the mountains and a desire to make every guest's experience unforgettable
