Childcare Practitioner (Early Years)

About the Role

We’re looking for qualified and experienced childcare practitioners to join our team for the 2026 season. You’ll care for babies and toddlers aged 4 months to 3 years, helping them play, learn, and explore through creative, engaging activities in our crèches and outdoor play areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate childcare professionals who want to spend the summer working in a close-knit, supportive team - and make lasting memories for themselves and the families they care for.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare & Play

• Deliver high-quality care for babies and toddlers (4 months–3 years).
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities - from sensory play to treasure hunts and creative crafts.
• Provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where every child feels happy and secure.
• Prepare and serve healthy snacks, lunch, and tea daily.
• Be prepared to babysit at guest villas in the evenings (minimum two nights per week, paid extra).

Safety & Standards

• Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety.
• Complete daily cleaning and regular deep cleans of the crèche.
• Keep accurate records as required and ensure policies are always followed.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work collaboratively with your team and support colleagues across departments where needed.
• Build warm, positive relationships with parents and provide clear, reassuring communication.
• Represent The Peligoni Club with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a friendly attitude.

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education (or equivalent). Level 2 qualifications considered if actively working towards Level 3.
• Proven experience working with babies (4 months+) and young children.
• Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate (required).
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).
• Current DBS Certificate, Garda Vetting, or equivalent.
• Confident swimmer.
• Available for the full season: May – October 2026.
• Must hold a UK or EU passport.
