Evenings at Peligoni are a unique affair with something different happening each night; add to this a number of weddings during the low season, our Guest Chef series, wellness focused weeks and our annual House Party, we have a number of events to deliver over the course of the season.

We are looking for an experienced Events Floor Manager to take the lead in ensuring all of our weekly events are well prepared for and delivered to the high standard that our guests expect. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, self-motivated and confident all-rounder with an impeccable attention to detail and a strong F&B background. This is a challenging but extremely rewarding role for those who thrive when given responsibility and gain satisfaction from being part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of weekly club events including the family barbeque, weekly ‘dinner party’ and food festival evening.
  • Coordinate with the relevant departments ahead of time to ensure each team knows what is expected from them during the event
  • Ensure the reception and guest relations team are fully briefed on all relevant events, including menus, prices and capacity targets.
  • Ensure teams are well briefed ahead of each service on menus, specific guest requirements and any other relevant information
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensure a consistently high level of service is delivered at all times
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
  • Ensure all bills are settled correctly
  • Ensure high levels of cleanliness and hygiene are met at all times, both front and back of house
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for weekly events and manage orders and stock rotation
  • Work alongside the events team during PACE and House Party, and any other Special Events: helping with the set-up of individual events and running meal services
  • Take responsibility for The Courtyard at all times, not only during an event, but also outside of these times ensuring the area is always looking its best
  • Encourage a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork
  • Schedule shifts, working with the club’s restaurant managers to ensure you have the required staff for each event
  • Club keyholder responsibilities including closing the club from time to time 

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record in a similar role
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a hands-on approach to managing a service
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage
  • Effective communicator
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ‘guest-first’ approach
  • Highly organised, pro-active and flexible
  • Understanding of EPOS operating systems
  • An up to date Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • A valid First Aid Certificate is desirable
  • Full driving license is desirable
