Holiday Sales Excecutive

POSTED ON 15 Apr 2024
job Details

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a small, dynamic, overseas tour operator. BeyondBeach (formally Trek Adventures) is a small friendly company that has been providing active holidays for over 20 years. In the summer months our much-loved active Beach Clubs, with inclusive watersports, biking, and fitness classes, attract a fun-loving crowd who return year after year for a warm welcome. We also have popular Yachting holidays for novice yacht sailors and an island-hopping flotilla for those with previous yachting experience. And when the snow begins to fall we offer ski chalet holidays in France. 2024 is a very exciting time to come on board, as we slowly begin to grow, developing new products and opening new clubs.

If you’re a team player with high standards and you enjoy meeting new people then we'd love to hear from you. Our UK management team works closely with our overseas teams to create exceptional holidays for all our guests.

We are looking for a sales specialist to help drive the company’s future growth. For the right candidate, this represents an opportunity to become a core part of our UK team (of 6 people) and help promote the company’s long-term success. This is a proactive sales position, selling holidays and carrying out associated admin. It is important to note that whilst the whole UK team supports the sales side of the business and works as one team, this is a stand-alone role.  There is only one dedicated Sales Executive within our small team. Therefore we are looking for someone who is confident working alone and who is excited to lead the sales needs of the company. A genuine passion for travel and an active lifestyle are essential for the success and enjoyment of this role.

At the heart of our business is the personal level of customer service we are able to provide for each and every guest, from the time of their booking right through to the day their holiday ends. The successful applicant would need to show evidence of nurturing and developing long-term relationships with customers, and of course, colleagues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

In addition to sales duties, there may be opportunities to get involved in other aspects of the business. In a small team, each individual's skills and experiences are drawn on to generate new ideas, aid decision-making, complete new projects, and push the business forward. Training on in-house procedures, systems, software packages, and job-specific tasks will be given. Occasional external training courses may also be required.

For the right candidate, this role has the potential to develop from Sales Executive to Sales Manager. Whereby the manager will lead the way in developing and implementing the company’s sales and marketing strategies.

The Package:

-Hours: Approx 30 hrs/week. 10:00-16:00 Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend cover. (30 hours is negotiable.)
-Salary: Starting salary of £20,000 plus commission.
-Pension: Pension is included in line with the national workplace pension scheme.
-Holiday: Annual Leave is calculated in relation to hours worked.
-Travel: Educational work trips to Greece and/or France will be essential.
-Holiday discounts for friends and family.
-Home Working: This is a work from home role, but occasional meetings are required in the UK and occasional trips overseas.
