Housekeeping Assistant

We are looking for part-time Housekeeping Assistants to join our vibrant team at our Children’s Activity Centre, Condover Hall which is based just on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Condover Hall is an elegant Grade I listed three-storey Elizabethan sandstone building, described as the grandest manor house in Shropshire, standing in a conservation area on the outskirts of Condover village.

This is a seasonal vacancy from the beginning of September to the end of October 2024 with the option to return for the 2025 season.

The details:

• Salary paid at up to £11.55 per hour
• Part-time hours to work a mix of Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday
• Working hours are 9am - 5.30pm
• Accommodation is not available and you will need your own transport to travel to Condover Hall due to the location

• Able to work on own initiative and happy to try new things
• A team player – but also happy to work as an individual
• Reliable and responsible
• Previous experience working in a housekeeping or cleaning position is desirable but not essential

Day to day, your key duties will include:

• Cleaning guest accommodation to include bathrooms
• Preparing bedding ahead of their arrival
• Cleaning the communal areas within the manor along with our swimming pool area
• Working to maintain cleanliness and health & safety standards
• Ensuring the storerooms are stocked with necessary linens, guest supplies and cleaning equipment
• Helping to decorate the centre for events
• Working in a fast-paced and often physically demanding environment on our busy guest arrival and departure days
