Join Our Team as a Housekeeper/Maintenance Person in the French Alps!

AliKats Mountain Holidays, a luxury chalet company in Morzine, France, is seeking experienced individuals with a passion for excellence in both housekeeping and maintenance for the summer season.

Enjoy the breathtaking French Alps while ensuring our chalets are impeccably maintained for our guests.

Position: Housekeeper/Maintenance Person
Location: Morzine, France
Employment Dates: ASAP to September

Responsibilities:

• Prepare luxury chalets for incoming guests, including:
• Stripping and re-making beds
• Thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas
• Tidying patios, terraces, and garden areas, including cleaning furniture, barbecues, watering plants, and basic gardening
• Maintaining and cleaning hot-tubs 
• Washing towels and sorting laundry for collection
• Organizing store cupboards
• Working to set deadlines and meeting company standards
• Perform basic maintenance duties, including:
  • Minor repairs and fixes around the chalets
  • Basic plumbing maintenance (unclogging drains, fixing leaks)
  • Simple electrical work (e.g. changing light bulbs)
  • Garden and grounds upkeep (lawn mowing, hedge trimming)
  • Exterior cleaning and maintenance (gutters, paths, driveways)
  • Reporting complex maintenance issues to management

Requirements:

Recent cleaning or housekeeping experience (references required)

Basic maintenance and handyman skills

Hospitality experience is a plus

Good level of spoken English

Driving license and own transport are advantageous but not essential

EU passport or Carte De Séjour preferred

    Package:

• 24 hours of work per week, with flexibility required to accommodate mid-week cleans and maintenance tasks
• Accommodation in our lovely staff chalet in Montriond, which has a large garden with bike storage and barbecue facilities, Wifi and bills included
• Weekly wage in line with SMIC brut (French minimum wage, currently 11.88 per hour), equating to a monthly pay of about 925 euros for 24 hours per week

Plus ample free time to enjoy outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, swimming, climbing, rafting, and paragliding
