Looking for a chalet help (Summer 2025) in a Livigno Resort

Hello! We are looking for a fit, enthusiastic, and energetic chalet host to join us from July 1st for the entire summer season, approximately six weeks. I manage two mountain chalets in the beautiful and bustling ski resort of Livigno, Italy, a popular summer vacation destination. We need assistance with guest stays (check-ins/check-outs), communication, cleaning apartments, laundry work, & maintenance/organization tasks.

DESCRIPTION:

Our chalet in Trepalle features 5 apartments &another small apartment in Teola. This position is for the summer season, starting July 1st, 2024.

Summer is an exciting time in Livigno. With the snow melted, it becomes a popular tourist destination due to its mild climate and stunning scenery. Visitors from around the world come to enjoy activities like biking, golf, tennis, and horse riding in the valley, as well as trekking, hiking, climbing in the mountains, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and pedal boating in Livigno Lake. The area is perfect for nature-oriented tourism, attracting guests who have booked their summer stays to enjoy holidays with friends and families.

We are looking for a host who understands the importance of hospitality. Our guests come to spend quality time, and it’s essential to ensure their stays are special. 

ACTIVITIES & SHIFTS:

We are looking for 2 hosts for this position to ensure a relaxed and comfortable work environment. Having 2 people will make the work more manageable and enjoyable. Couples or friends are ideal, but if you are applying solo, please still apply, and we can find another same-gender host to join you.

You will work part-time only, just 4-5 hours a day, 6 days a week (for Solo and 5 days a week for a couple). This role offers fair weekly pay of EUR 160 per person (if you are willing and can work solo) and EUR 250 for both (if there shall be two hosts), since having two hosts offers you ease at work, plenty of time to enjoy Livigno during your free hours and days off. We provide free dormitory-style accommodation, which includes beds, a bathroom, and a kitchen equipped with cooking utensils for self-catering.

Duties include general hosting tasks; communicating with guests, checking them in, handling cash payments if any), washing sheets and towels, cleaning apartments and preparing them for the next guests, conducting inventory checks, & general maintenance, etc.

GENERAL RULES:

This opportunity is essentially an exchange package, perfect for enthusiastic travelers wanting to visit Livigno with two or more friends. In return for your assistance as a chalet host, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy Livigno's beauty during your free time. We provide free accommodation, a kitchenette with all necessary utensils for self-catering, and a reasonable part-time work fee, allowing you to save money for your own enjoyment and expenses.

You should be reasonably responsive to us, the owners, and arriving guests, maintain work records via shared sheets, and report on progress and achievements.

NOTE: During the summer, there is no skiing, but you can explore the beautiful landscape of Livigno and enjoy the rural lifestyle. You can go hiking and participate in cross-country biking. If you're interested, this position could serve as a trial for a full host role during the upcoming winter ski season, which lasts for four months. Additionally, we provide a free ski pass for the entire hosting period during the ski season.
