This is a rare role with a long-term future for an individual looking to establish themselves firmly within the Portes du Soleil. The brief is simple. Help us to deliver amazing holiday experiences to our guests in some of the finest self-catered ski chalets in the Alps. 

The LSC Resort Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operation of our Luxury Self-Catered property portfolio and will be key to the success of both our summer and winter programs. They will play an important role in liaising with our property owners, developing strong relationships and an excellent understanding of each property, its inventory and individual presentation.

Working closely with the Operations Director, the LSC Resort Manager will lead our seasonal teams and coordinate elements of housekeeping, food & beverage service delivery and client relations. They will be directly supported by team leads for core seasonal periods and work closely with the year-round team in France to support the wider property activities outside of the core seasons, as well as getting involved in elements of recruitment, team training and identifying and expanding upon systems and processes that continue to drive the company forward as a market leader.

Candidates should be extremely organised with excellent communication skills in both English and French, whilst being confident in forward-planning and delegating to team leads. We expect our LSC Resort Manager to maintain an active presence within properties and directly with clients and owners to ensure the smooth running of the operation. Leading and mentoring seasonal teams will be critical in this overall success and will position the LSC Resort Manger as a core and influential member of the team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the presentation and service in our self-catered properties, both by supervising and coaching your team, and also through active hands-on involvement.
  • Work closely with the Concierge Manager and in resort Concierge team to anticipate and ensure seamless service delivery to in resort clients.
  • Oversee check-in and check-out process ensuring maximum attention to property care representing the interests of the property owners.
  • Work closely with the Operations Director to plan and direct teams to ensure efficiency and contingency forecasting.
  • Produce accurate weekly reports covering various aspects of operations and guest feedback.
  • Assist and oversee property maintenance resolution with the support of the Operations Director, seasonal Maintenance personnel, and external contractors.
  • You will be confident in driving so that you can move between the properties efficiently.

Skills & Experience

  • Full driving licence required; Must be confident driving manual vehicles and in winter conditions (training provided)
  • Previous winter season experience is essential, as well as previous experience working in a 5-star hospitality environment, ideally within a management role
  • Passionate about the luxury ski industry and impeccable presentation of properties
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills - fluency in English and working French is essential
  • Flexibility – able to cope well with varied and changing tasks and environments
  • Team leadership - excellent forward planning and people skills
  • Experience of dealing with international clients of different backgrounds and client management
  • Organised and well-presented with an excellent eye for detail
