Dubai Offshore Sailing Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic ILCA 4 Race Coach to join our dynamic sailing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing youth sailors to compete at national and international levels. A strong coaching background, fluency in English, and a passion for athlete development are essential. RYA qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.

Job Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level race coaching to youth sailors with a focus on developing strong technical skills, tactical decision-making, and race strategy appropriate to Club and National standards.
- Design and execute progressive training programmes that align with long-term athlete development models, incorporating goal-setting, performance tracking, and feedback loops.
- Foster a high-performance mindset through clear communication, motivation, and tailored coaching interventions that support each sailor’s potential.
- Adapt coaching techniques to suit different learning styles and individual needs, while maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.
- Utilise performance analysis tools, video review, and data to provide constructive feedback and continuous improvement.
- Support the Racing & Events Manager in refining the club’s racing syllabus and creating structured development pathways for sailors.
- Lead by example at regattas, ensuring athletes are well-prepared, confident, and supported throughout their competition experience.
- Assist with event logistics, planning, and communication with parents.
- Attend weekend regattas or coordinate effectively with alternate coaching staff.
- Submit detailed regatta reports and performance reviews post-event.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dinghy sailing and race coaching, ideally in ILCA classes.
- Demonstrated ability to coach to Club and National standards.
- RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent (Desirable but not mandatory).
- RYA Race Coach or equivalent (Desirable but not mandatory).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Strong communication, planning, and team coordination skills.
- Fluent in English.
