Urgently looking for a chalet help (Summer 2026) in a Livigno Resort
For EU Nationals Only!
Hello! We are looking for a fit, enthusiastic, and energetic chalet host to join us from July 2nd week for the entire summer season, approximately six weeks. I manage two mountain chalets in the beautiful and bustling ski resort of Livigno, Italy, a popular winter and summer vacation destination. We need assistance with guest stays (check-ins/check-outs), communication, cleaning apartments, laundry work, & maintenance/organization tasks.
DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for one fit, enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic Summer Chalet Host to join us in Livigno from approximately the 2nd week of July until the end of August 2026.
This opening is for one primary host only. The selected host may, however, bring one partner or friend to accompany them for the season. The accompanying person may stay free of charge in the provided accommodation and use the available facilities, but will not hold a separate paid host position. They must be willing to assist reasonably with general cleaning, laundry, apartment preparation, organisation, and other practical chalet duties when required.
About the Property:
We manage Chalet Baita Zelda in Trepalle, which consists of several self-contained apartments, together with another small apartment in Teola, Livigno.
The summer season is a busy and enjoyable period in Livigno. Once the winter snow has melted, the area becomes a popular destination for mountain bikers, hikers, cyclists, athletes, families, and nature lovers. Guests visit for trekking, climbing, high-altitude training, mountain biking, cross-country cycling, horse riding, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, lake activities, duty-free shopping, and exploring the wider Alpine region.
We are looking for someone who understands the importance of hospitality and who can help ensure that guests enjoy a clean, organised, comfortable, and welcoming stay.
Nature of the Position:
This is a part-time seasonal host position combined with digital nomad work for KaterBlue.com.
The selected applicant will be the sole contracted and paid primary host. The role is designed for someone who enjoys mountain life, outdoor activities, meeting people, and working independently in a seasonal hospitality environment.
The host will generally work approximately 5 - 6 hours per day, 6 days per week, depending on guest arrivals, departures, apartment occupancy, and operational requirements. Some days may be busier during guest changeovers, while other days may have lighter chalet duties, allowing time for KaterBlue digital work and personal leisure. The weekly remuneration for the primary host is EUR 160.
Accommodation:
Free dormitory-style accommodation is provided for the primary host for the duration of the engagement. The accommodation includes:
- A dedicated bed in a shared studio-style apartment
- Shared bathroom facilities
- Kitchenette and cooking utensils for self-catering
- Heating, electricity, water, hot water, and Wi-Fi
The primary host may bring one partner or friend to stay with them free of charge. The accompanying person will not receive a separate stipend or employment contract, but will be expected to assist reasonably with general cleaning, laundry, apartment preparation, guest support, light maintenance, and chalet organisation.
A. Chalet Host Duties:
The main responsibilities include:
- Communicating with guests before and during their stays
- Assisting with guest check-ins and check-outs
- Cleaning apartments after departures
- Making beds and preparing apartments for incoming guests
- Washing, drying, folding, and organising sheets and towels
- Carrying out inventory checks
- Maintaining clean and organised common areas
- Reporting maintenance issues
- Assisting with minor DIY and general upkeep
- Handling occasional cash payments or deposits where instructed
- Maintaining accurate work records and operational updates
B. KaterBlue Digital Nomad Duties
During quieter periods when there is limited chalet work, the primary host will also assist with online work for KaterBlue.com.
Depending on the applicant’s skills and experience, this may include:
- Online research and data entry
- Identifying yacht charter, yacht sales, marine tourism, and water-activity businesses
- Maintaining lead records in the CRM
- Business development and outreach
- Content review and administrative support
- Social media assistance where suitable
- Language or market-related support based on the applicant’s background
- Recording progress and work completed through shared online sheets
Training and induction will be provided.
General Expectations:
The successful host must be mature, reliable, organised, responsive, and capable of working independently. They should be comfortable communicating with guests, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and managing their own daily schedule around guest arrivals and departures. This opportunity is particularly suitable for someone who wants to spend the summer in Livigno, enjoy mountain life, and combine part-time work with hiking, cycling, outdoor activities, local exploration, and duty-free shopping. The role is not intended as a conventional full-time salaried position. It is a seasonal arrangement combining free accommodation, utilities, part-time remuneration, practical hosting work, and digital nomad responsibilities.
Summer Lifestyle in Livigno: There is no skiing or snowboarding during the summer season, but Livigno offers an excellent outdoor lifestyle. During free time, the host may enjoy:
- Hiking and trekking
- Mountain biking and cross-country cycling
- High-altitude training
- Climbing and mountain excursions
- Lake activities
- Horse riding
- Duty-free shopping
- Exploring nearby Alpine villages and mountain passes
A successful summer placement may also create the possibility of future seasonal work, including a potential winter hosting opportunity, subject to performance and availability.
Application:
Please apply as an individual for the one primary host position.
You may mention in your application if you intend to bring a partner or friend as an accompanying person.
Please include:
- Your CV
- Nationality and current location
- Availability and earliest possible arrival date
- Relevant hospitality, housekeeping, administration, digital, or customer-service experience
- Any references from previous employers, hosts, or service recipients
- Information about the partner or friend you wish to bring, if applicable
The selected applicant must be legally eligible to stay and work in Italy and must hold valid health coverage for the full engagement period.

We are already into the summer season, we need to fill this position urgently, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
NOTE:
A successful summer placement can also be a valuable pathway to our longer Winter Chalet Host opportunity, which usually runs from December until the end of April. For many applicants, the winter season is the most rewarding time to experience life in the Alps. Livigno becomes a lively international mountain resort, surrounded by snow-covered peaks, ski slopes, winter activities, après-ski venues, restaurants, and a unique Alpine atmosphere that is completely different from summer. Subject to satisfactory performance, reliability, availability, and our operational requirements, a successful summer host may receive priority consideration for the winter role. This means the summer season can serve as a practical trial period and potentially lead to the opportunity to live in Livigno for an entire winter season, experience daily life in the Italian Alps, enjoy the snow and mountain lifestyle, meet people from around the world, and benefit from a much longer and more immersive seasonal experience including free ski-passes, allowances and higher perks.
