UKSA Celebrates 2025/26 Cadet success at Graduation in March 2026

The UKSA Cadetship Graduation is always a highlight of the year, celebrating the dedication, resilience and achievements of the cadets as they complete their training and prepare to embark on their careers at sea. This year’s ceremony was particularly special, marking one of the most successful cohorts to date, with over 98% of cadets successfully completing the programme.

Surrounded by family, mentors, industry partners and UKSA staff, the graduates gathered to reflect on their journey, celebrate their accomplishments and look ahead to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead in the maritime industry.

On Tuesday 3rd March, UKSA proudly celebrated the graduation of this year’s cadet cohort in a special ceremony attended by families, mentors, sponsors and staff.

Guests gathered on campus before the ceremony began, with cadets taking their seats in full uniform after sharing a final lunch together with the UKSA team. The event was opened by Chris Frisby, who welcomed guests, thanked the programme’s funders and reflected on the cadets’ journey from selection through to qualification and the opportunities that now lie ahead.

The ceremony also featured a keynote address from James Stevens of Trinity House, alongside video messages from cadets currently in the industry, highlighting the impact and reach of the UKSA cadetship programme.

A highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of certificates and awards, recognising the dedication, development and achievements of the graduating cadets throughout their training.
