The Child of Mercy Childrens Centre was formed in 2010 by Jessica Opisa with 8 children living in a rented bungalow. We then joined her as Trustees to assist in the Development of the organization and with a clear goal of creating one of the best run Orphanages in the area. We strived to create a home for the children were they could be safe, well cared for, educated and grow up in a happy and disciplined environment.
From those early beginnings we gradually moved forward and now have 44 children and our own premises (Kernow House) in a half acre plot which we purchased in 2012. We are located in Likoni near to Shelly Beach not far from the Likoni ferry which connects to Mombasa.
