Working as a Crystal ski rep is extremely exciting, challenging and more importantly great fun with the most exciting challenge and the best platform to use your skills lying with sole or dual rep resorts.
Working as an individual rep or as part of a team of two you will have more independence and responsibility, effectively running your own resort. It may sound daunting at first but it is a fantastic opportunity and with the support of your area manager you’re certainly not out on your own.
Famous for its interlinked ski areas and the home of après ski, Austria offers incredible experiences for this type of resort. Obertauern is a key example and is Austria’s only purpose built resort, offering great snow conditions for your time off and some lively après bars along the main strip in the village. There are other seasonnaires in resort to socialise with and it is a great opportunity to use your language skills with locals and suppliers.
Alpbach is another sole rep opportunity; it is a beautiful village, very popular with British visitors especially over Christmas and New Year and a great place to work. A small, quiet resort where you will soon get to know everyone, there are plenty of offers to go out in the evening while the resort also offers good off piste skiing.
Rauris is a simple resort to run between two reps, allowing you to build a great rapport with all customers and have an extremely enjoyable season. The resort has good restaurants along with some bars in the quiet village and offers a varied après programme to run each week.
Another exciting dual rep resort is the Gastein Valley, covering Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein with access to the extensive ski area for some excellent skiing and boarding conditions. Both are pretty villages with central spas and a range of places to spend your evenings with Bad Gastein the livelier of the two resorts.
