Ischgl is a prime example of a ski resort that is so efficiently programmed that your season will comprise of testing your stamina both on and off the piste, with the constant reminder of the high-class luxury the resort has to offer. Ischgl is likened to the infamous St Anton, often being referred to as its sibling ski resort, with its similarities in epic terrain on and off the piste, the Après buzz in the village and the luxurious atmosphere presented to us in the stunning hotels and prestigious boutique shops.
The gorgeous village is compact and classy, with so much to offer from high class hotels, squash courts, champagne bars to oompah-loompah après. Ischgl is the only ski resort in Europe that boasts it’s very own Pacha night club, and it’s not only at resort level that the energy is pumping. Along the lines of the mountain, the ski runs are where Ischgl holds some of its most enticing secrets. With 238km of piste, the Silvretta Arena holds some of the most desired runs within the Tyrol region and brags secluded wide runs that are kept clear from the commotion. You also have the world class Playstation Vita Snow Park on your doorstep, which is constantly being updated throughout the season to keep that variety to play around with. The Playstation Vita Snow Park contains a public jump bag if you’re feeling ambitious, along with the longest proline in Europe with over 20 elements.
If all of this doesn’t entice you, then surely the lifts will. Ischgl is renowned for its superb and efficient ski lifts, ranging from its heated gondolas, to high- speed 8 man chair lifts. With 44 lifts across the Silvretta Ski area, you are rarely waiting to get up the mountain and find yourself enjoying the easy ride up as much as the thrilling ride down.
