La Plagne is part of the Paradiski area, which together with Les Arcs, offers a huge variety of pistes to suit all needs. In Paradiski, the staff ski pass is a full area pass by default, so you have the opportunity to explore both resorts during your season.
La Plagne consists of 10 interlinked villages spread over several sides of a mountain - the central more purpose built areas of Plagne Centre, Plagne Villages, Aime 2000 and Plagne Soleil being offset against the beautiful traditional villages of Montalbert, Montchavin and Champagny. Lift systems have been steadily upgraded and there are now several gondolas and many high speed chair lifts to carry you up as far as the glacier at 3250m. The resort is well known for its huge off-piste areas and it's a haven for snowboarders and off-piste demons to explore - together with the half pipe, boarder cross and snow park.
Ski Amis has two chalets in La Plagne which are very different and both located in the prettier villages rather than the central area. Our premium service chalet which sleeps 14-16 people in Montalbert is in the village centre (but already staff, as our chalet couple there are returning for their third season with us!). The other chalet which sleeps 8-11 people is at the foot of the piste, and just below the lift station, in the lively, picturesque village of Montchavin which has a great water leisure centre just above the chalet.
