Alp D'Huez
With 7 different ski areas to choose from and more blue sky days than a marketing meeting, the Alpe d’Huez is indeed one of the top locations for school ski groups. Choice is everything and thanks to a series of excellent lift systems your group will be treated to a splendid array of lumps and bumps to help all of their winter dreams come true. Extensive snow-making facilities make sure the mainly south facing slopes are extremely pleasant for the time of year with plenty of rays for those all-important panda face tans.
The Skiing and Boarding
If ever there was a ski area to encourage wary beginners from their comfortable cabins it has to be Alpe d’Huez. From very easy slopes to practically-guaranteed sunshine, getting started has never been so enticing. All in all you’ll find over 230kms of skiable piste to choose from and once you leave the picture perfect pine-lined runs of Vaujauny and Auris there are a further 50kms of intermediate to advanced runs just begging to make your acquaintance. With the longest black run in Europe, a whopping 16kms, a couple of cheeky snow parks for snowboarders and 700 snow cannons pumping out the white stuff, the Alpe d’Huez is pretty much the best that France has to offer.
Après Ski
The après ski is awesome and flood-lit night sledging and night skiing has to be tried at least once. Other options after dark include: ice-skating, discos and cinemas. Alternatively, relax back at your Clubhotel with a chocolat chaud or party-on-down until your hearts content.
