La Plagne a seasonnaires dream
The resort of La Plagne must be one of the best places to work a winter season for Crystal Ski for so many different reasons. The resort itself is split into the 5 main villages of Plagne 1800, Plagne Centre, Plagne Soleil, Belle Cote and Bell Plagne. Each of these areas has something interesting to offer staff. La Plagne has a huge Crystal presence and everywhere you look there will be a green jacket, this gives staff a real close seasonnaire feel. Plagne Centre is where you will find the best après, Scotty’s bar hosts some of the best bands in the alps and well priced drinks for staff. After a hard day on the mountain it is also worth popping by for a Scotty’s burger. If you want to stay out late you can also head to Mouth Bar or the late night Cosy Club in Belle Cote. If karaoke and van chaud on the piste is your thing you can head to Monica’s in Plagne Soleil.
La Plagne is linked with the resort of Les Arcs by the world famous Vanoise Express to give 425 kilometres of piste. Due to the size of the area even on busy weeks you won’t find yourself queuing for chairlifts for too long. The ski area also offers something for all abilities and in Belle Cote there is a huge snow park, half pipe and even a super pipe.
La Plagne is the home of the French Olympic bobsleigh track and you could also have the opportunity to ski down the mountain by torch light, skidoo under the stars and jump off the side of the mountain on a parapent.
La Plagne has the largest team in the Crystal program with a team of just under 60 in resort made up by reps, chalet hosts, childcare, maintenance and also a large management team. This means there is always someone to offer advice or to go for a drink with.
