Les Gets ski holidays offer skiers a wealth of varied skiing in the largest inter-linked ski resort in Europe. The resort specialises in chic, boutique shopping and excellent nightlife with a very friendly feel. Being a part of the huge Portes du Soleil means that skiers have access to some of the best and most extensive skiing anywhere in the World. The area hosts many festivals, competitions, and other high profile events.
The Après-Ski and nightlife in Les Gets is surprisingly lively, and with about 16 good bars and a nightclub, the resort will keep going into the early hours. There is also a good café culture for the not-so-hedonistic among you and of course great restaurants too. Les Gets is suitable for all levels and offers wide motorway style pistes making general skiing and progress very easy for intermediates and families on Ski Holidays. There are also some steeper more challenging runs and mogul fields up at Pointe de Nyon which happens to be one of the best descents in the whole Portes Du Soleil ski area. Les Gets is renowned for its’ suitability for beginner skiing and snowboarding. The atmosphere in the resort is non-pressured and all the slopes are easy to get to, which also makes it ideal for families. The ski and board school is very good and naturally English speaking. A good network of beginner trails extends over the resort and offers hassle free and easy skiing which ends up back at one base point and needs no drag lifts!
Les Gets has very good snowboarding terrain, ideal for cruising around on and with a good range of facilities too. The Les Gets Snow park is very tame, (compared to it’s big brother up at Avoriaz), and ideal for beginners with easier jumps and a relaxed atmosphere. It is absolutely ideal for Snowboarders who are getting to grips with jumping and also progressing onto mid size jumps and hand rails.
