Jobs in Morzine
If you are lucky enough to get the chance to work a winter season in Morzine you will want to keep coming back for more, which is what usually happens ! Thats why there is a 'big family feel' to the village as when the season gets under way and the saisonaires start to arrive end Nov beginning of December its like coming home - their mates from the past season are there in Dixies Bar to talk about the summer, whats been going on, whats happened to the guy/girl they were dating last season, did they do the summer season in the med, telling stories of the fun and experiences and looking forward to the season ahead, new comers are also welcomed with ease and interest.
If you decide to travel to Morzine to find work the earlier you arrive the better to chat and meet everyone and get to hear of what work there is available although accommodation as in most resorts is hard to come by and expensive - so good idea to have some where set up to stay, there are several 'saisonaires chalets' in the resort. However if you have a job organised before you arrive accommodation is usually part of the package.
There are more independent chalet companies in Morzine rather than the big operators which gives it a friendly, relaxed vibe as all the workers from the different companies mix in with each other, you will find plenty of friends to play with both during the day and at night.

Pubs, cafes and clubs in Morzine
As for the bars Dixies is a great place to meet early and late evening, the saisonaires are always made very welcome - especially if Steve the scouser bar manager is there ! Buddha bar, The Cavern and Cafe Chaud but to name a few are all popular with the work force both English and French - you can improve your French by chatting to the locals both sides of the bar. Then if you have the energy to really party The Paradis and L'Opera clubs will keep you dancing until dawn !
You will also get to know the best mountain restaurants, these vary hugely in cost and quality - beware of the cafe/restaurants that look cheap but charge an arm and a leg for a piece of dry baguette and a slice of processed cheese - always check prices before ordering.
