Les Menuires, Three Vallees
Les Menuires
As you’d expect from a resort that’s part of the ginormous Three Valleys ski area, Les Menuires has plenty for everyone and a little bit more if you’re willing to explore. This really is an excellent purpose-built resort and boasts some of the most popular pistes in the entire region which means that staying local is pretty much the done thing in these parts. Aside from the downhill options the après ski is considered rather good too and with a wide range of activities to choose from you won’t be left wanting whatever the time of day.
Ski
Thanks to some well-considered architectural design you’ll discover your accommodation is right next to the nursery slopes so rolling out of bed before rolling down hill is as easy as 1, 2, arrrggghhh! Once you’ve put early disasters to one side it will be time to move onwards and upwards to a magnificent interlinked array of red, blue and green runs which allow you to develop at a level and speed which suits you. Experts will find just shy of 10kms at their disposal but to get some real kicks it’s recommended that you explore the rest of the Three Valleys which promise absolute advanced awesomeness. Talking of kicks and awesomeness, snowboarders staying local to Les Menuires won’t be disappointed as the BK Park at the top of the Becca chairlift promises enough bumps, rails and boarder-cross to keep even the most bodacious of dudes sated until tea time.
Après ski
The local sports complex is state-of-the-art and home to swimming pools, steam rooms and Jacuzzis as well as options to hire the indoor sports hall. If you’re looking for cinemas and bowling both are a short distance away however, discos, pizzerias and loads of shops provide ample excuses to stay close to home once the day is done.
