Ski Jobs & Courses in USA - Destinations Guide
In the USA there are ski resorts in a massive 39 states. From Nevada, California and the Alaskan resorts in the West, Colorado and Montana in the Rocky mountains, to Ohio in the Mid West, and New Hampshire in the North East there are world famous ski stations.
Assuming you are from the UK or mainland Europe, you do need a work visa to do a season in the USA. A visa is an official 'permit' authorizing you to enter the USA. There is more opportunity for powder riding in the USA than in Europe but the resorts are smaller. Having said that, the Americans have got the lift queues thing sussed and are famous for their excellent customer service, and steaks.
The fancier resorts, such as Vail and Aspen are home to the rich and famous but the price you might pay for sighting a film star might be crowded slopes and no money to spend on food. Having said that, the popularity of resorts like this in the USA brings money, and with it, opportunities for work in the many thousands of shops, restaurants and bars.
