Working as an Alpine Family Fun Kids Rep in a summer alpine resort you will be the main component in providing our guests with varied family and kid’s club activities.You will prepare and deliver a full and exciting activity plan for both children aged 4 – 12 years and some family activity days based around our hotel properties.Buckets of enthusiasm, organisation, common sense and a fun approach to your working week are essential. You will need to have a love of children and enjoy working with different children each week.Our Kids Clubs, Marmottes and Wolverines are for children 4 – 12 years. You will organise and deliver activities that include Olympics, den building, trips to the lakes, bug hunting, swimming, gondola rides, scavenger hunts, themed days, art attacks and anything that makes the most of our alpine surroundings.Also you will be responsible for organising our ‘family fun days’ which include family walks, picnics and pool parties.You will mostly work independently as part of a larger resort and hotel team. You will work closely with the resort rep team making sure all families are having a fantastic holiday.Your main responsibilities will be, but not limited to;• Working as part of a childcare team to provide excellent childcare including some evening activities.• Create an inventive and varied activity program for 4 – 12 year olds.• Maintain a safe, stimulating and activity packed environment• Be solely responsible for the health and safety of children in your care• Ensure child ratios are adhered to at all times• Keeping efficient and accurate records of children in your care and completing paperwork to legal standards.• Being confident in liaising with parents, giving welcome speeches and providing feedback on a daily basis.• Host a number of family fun days involving parents and children• Use your initiative and plan, promote and host any extra family or kids club activities• Being ready to use initiative and ‘stepping in’ when necessary to all parts of the resort team and company.Requirements At least 2 years experience working in a childcare setting/ activity environment. Knowledge of child development and planning age appropriate activities. Confident and enthusiastic personality. General interest for the outdoors and active alpine activities. Availability from end of June to beginning of September
