Site Maintenance Operatives

Campsites directly and tour operators employ maintenance staff normally on a full-time permanent basis on a good salary with the possibility of accommodation. The language requirement varies but having one really does make this job a lot easier and dramatically improves your chances of getting a job in maintenance. You will be expected to do general maintenance but also ideally have a certificated trade or specialism such as gas or electric. This might only apply to more senior positions but where you cannot deal with an issue you will need to deal with and communicate with local trades people in the local language.
Tasks normally include maintaining mobile homes, changing gas bottles, and maintaining tents and pitches if you are working with a tour operator. If you are working directly for a campsite then these tasks will extend into working on the premises and facilities such as swimming pools, outdoor spaces and restaurants.
