Domestic Staff

Camp Suisse is looking for friendly, well-motivated individuals who enjoy working in the domestic team of a hotel. This role will include working in a professional kitchen environment with a variety of responsibilities with the catering assistants/kitchen porters, as well as in housekeeping to support our camp and hotel operations. The applicant must be capable of working on their own initiative in a fast, organised and efficient manner. We are looking for good team players who are flexible, easy-going and able to work with a range of individuals.

Key Duties:

• Food prep
• Potwash, including operating industrial dishwasher and washing and drying equipment by hand.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas
• Offer support and assistance to chefs as required
• Preparation of sandwiches and packed lunches
• Carry out daily cleaning duties in the hotel building, including the restaurant, bar, toilets, and common areas (e.g. sweeping, mopping, emptying bins, and wiping down surfaces).
• Clean and maintain guest and camper accommodation, including bedrooms, corridors, stairs, and en-suite bathrooms.
• Undertake deep cleaning tasks during changeovers—stripping and remaking beds, deep cleaning bathrooms and communal spaces, and preparing rooms for new arrivals.

Points to note:

We are looking for flexible domestic staff to work as catering assistants / kitchen porters to undertake a number of kitchen duties, as well as housekeeping duties. Most of your shifts will involve pot washing during busy meal services. You must be interested in catering and food preparation. You will work under the guidance of our chefs and housekeeping supervisor and may assist in other areas of the business to support our camp and hotel duties, as required.

Personal requirements / characteristics:

A good knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene is useful, as is experience as a kitchen porter, housekeeper or similar.
