Position

 

As an MTB Mechanic, you will assist with the overall smooth running and ongoing maintenance of our fleet of mountain bikes across Morzine. Reporting into the Head Bike Mechanic, you will work on a rota basis to cover the bike workshops, based around our hotels and/or chalets, where you will maintain the fleet of mountain bikes in your resort.

 

You will be assisting our guests with choosing the correct bike & ensuring they are set up correctly for their ride and ability and assist in the upselling of our specialised bikes for the more serious mountain biker. You will document the bikes the guests take each day and service them daily to check they are in a suitable condition.

  • Represent the company in a professional, well-presented manner at all times and in compliance with the company uniform policy.
  • Offer advice and assistance in a professional and friendly manner and able to answer all questions with confidence.

 

Operational

  • Detailed servicing of company bikes.
  • Determined to promote local routes appropriate for age & ability.
  • Complete and catalogue equipment booking in/out logs.
  • Ensure weekly admin related to servicing & damages is completed accurately and on time.

 

What we are looking for –

  • Outgoing and enthusiastic people obsessed with mountain bikes.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining bikes.
  • Motivated to provide excellent customer service.
  • The ability to manage workload by themselves and report to their manager when needed.
  • Adaptable people who have a flexible attitude towards work.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan.

 

Requirements of the role –

  • Relevant experience of working with bikes in their many forms. (Essential)
  • Confidence driving with a full, clean, driver licence. (Desired)
  • CYTEC or Equivalent qualification. (Desired)

  • 35 working hours a week, which include split shifts with great work life balance.

Operational dates may vary by resort and property; however, they generally fall between early June and mid-September.
