Work and Travel package in Sydney - stay for up to 12 months

This is a great way to experience living and working abroad with a little bit of support to make sure you hit the ground running. You will have the support of our team in Sydney who will help set up all of your admin and assist you with job finding. Enjoy a fun-packed orientation week with the option of adding on a surf camp week!

You’ll be helped with applying for a tax file number, getting medicare cover, opening a bank account and setting up an Australian mobile SIM card. Take advantage of advice and support on improving your CV and interviewing techniques and once you are all set, you'll have access to an exclusive online database of available jobs.

This programme offers an excellent chance to meet other travellers just like you, as well locals who are more than happy to share tips on Sydney living! Sydney is a fantastic place to explore, enjoy a rich and cosmopolitan lifestyle. Earn good wages and save up to fund further travels around Australia!

What will I be doing?

The work available to you in Sydney is plentiful, with the majority of the jobs in retail, bars, restaurants, cafés, factories or offices. The pay is pretty good, with wages around $18 per hour if you have no experience and up to around $25 per hour for those with relevant skills.

Working in a city abroad definitely helps your CV and gives you excellent preparation for going away to university or starting a future job. And what better place to work in than Sydney? Your work colleague with consist of other backpackers as well as Aussies, so a great place to make lots of international friends. You can work for each employer for a maximum of 6 months and you can then switch to another job or spend your money on travelling this amazing country! 

Accommodation

You'll spend your first week in a hostel in the heart of the city, within walking distance of one of the main train stations, the supermarket, the main shopping areas and The Darling Harbour. The hostel has a huge kitchen, laundry, with an adjoining bar and restaurant that holds nightly activities. You will be sharing an en-suite room with the rest of your group. You'll be staying in a dorm on the beach for your surf camp adventure! 

During the week you will be helped to search for an apartment for the rest of your time in Sydney. However, you might like to continue staying in the hostel for a weekly discounted rate.

Our team in Sydney will be there to help and support throughout the duration of your stay, up to 12 months. Free Wifi for all and access to free consultations on job finding wherever you are. 

What do I get for my money?

To participate there is a charge of £995, this includes:

Am I eligible?

To be eligible, you need a Working Holiday Visa or Work and Holiday visa that is available for passport holders from many reciprocal countries. You must be aged between 18-35 (Most other countries like US/Canada and Europe -30).
